Where to find it
We had an absolute ball discussing/sharing ideas for our 'Ull art work. We had such a laugh. We learned different things from each other, we werent entirely sure that 'od ard' was a Hull phrase or East Riding. So of course that peaks interest in the root of words, what does that mean, why do we say that, where does that word or phrase come from. We really enjoyed the conversations. Mr Potts has brought in newspapers from the seventies. We now quite fancy a local history group. I was fabulous that it created conversation/learning/creativity/togetherness. A thing of beauty in itself.
The actual doing of it was a different matter. It frustrated a couple of us to tears, we were on the brink of giving up and then along came Sue and Lorraine and Milly. Gerrin! They had the patience, skill, dedication and creativity to put into our ideas into art. It is a phenomenally beautiful piece. Im so grateful for you for instigating an opportunity to bring folk together. Lerrus ner if y'ave enny mur ideas.
